Do China Cat and IKYR count as one track or two?

Here Here!

IMO, it is likely thee best China > Rider EVER. 11 plus minute china cat! Phil on vocals for the IKYR. Bobby's solo leading into the jam. The spacey 2 minute intro, then an incredibly sweet 4 minute jam before the lyrics.

LEGEND!

I won't argue with anyone who says this is the best China>Rider ever. I love the extended jam leading in to the song.

For some reason, though, this version has never quite grabbed me like a few others from '74. Ever heard these back-to-back beauties?

I have heard the 5-19 version and it is on my spreadsheet. In red, oh no! Meaning it still needs to be heard more. Ill listen to it tomorrow. I really need to stop listening to so much new dead. Its hard to keep track of whats really great and what was ok.

and idk about you, but DP 31 china > rider is also freaking amazing! I love that first disc.

I remember our discussion of your DP 31 ignorance now. That's the problem with this band (if you could call it a problem LOL) there is just way too much great music to listen to, especially if you have an open mind.

Anyways, if you like climatic LIG jams, I would definitely check out the WRS on this pick. The jam leading up to the final verses is REALLY intense, imo.
